Pastry Chef (M/F) for two High-end Boutiques ideally in Southern Europe

CONCEPT & ENVIRONMENT:

The level of creativity for this concept will be highly original, with a very beautiful 3rd flagship boutique to come!

  • Offering a range of classic pastries (Saint Honoré, mille-feuilles, tarts… and some “signature” creations -> no single products.
  • The 150 m2 laboratory is located 5 km from the boutique, with some finishing touches to be done on-site at the boutique (with a dedicated space).
  • Volume: 150-60 pieces/day/boutique (excluding viennoiseries and derivatives on raised, fermented dough) => there is one person in charge of the bakery and one person in charge of the savory part

 

Profil:

Boutique or restaurant Pastry Chef with 5 to 8 years of experience. Solid, rather classic background, with serious technical skills. Well-organized executor, able to train, delegate, manage a production team of 4 to 6 people. (currently one pastry chef and one sous chef for pastries) Experience working abroad would be a plus. Flexible, easily adaptable, and compassionate character. Motivated and passionate about their profession.

Missions:

Create top-quality pastries (best ingredients, new laboratory, fully equipped, etc.) Set up a production team, with a well-defined range of cakes. R&D. Independent pastry laboratory, separate from the retail boutique. Note(s): Evolving position as there is a project to open 3 other boutiques in this country then expand to other European capitals (Madrid, Amsterdam…)

Conditions:

Start date: ASAP

Type of contract and duration: Permanent contract Hours: 6:00 – 14:00 (to be confirmed) Salary: 2500 – 2700 euros net (depending on profile) Visa: (Eurozone)

No accommodation provided, but an Airbnb for two months upon arrival, until the person finds their own accommodation.
