Job Description
RHEA Recruitment, a hospitality and restaurant recruitment agency operating internationally, is searching for one of its clients.
PRIVATE CHEF (M/F) for a VIP family on vacation in Cher, within their Castle.
Period: April 1st to April 6th, 2024
Duties:
The chef will serve a VIP family, responsible for daily cooking for 2 adults and 3 children. The family is accustomed to excellence but prefers French, Mediterranean, and Italian cuisine with their usual main dishes. Japanese fusion is also considered a favorite.
Schedule:
Day 1: Weekly shopping and preparation
Day 2: Dinner only
Day 3: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Day 4: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Day 5: Breakfast – Lunch – Dinner
Day 6: Breakfast only
The chef will be responsible for the entire process, including:
Cooking for 5 people daily (more if guests are present)
Grocery shopping
Creating weekly menus for approval by Mrs. or Personal Assistant
Ensuring hygiene and safety rules compliance (HACCP)
Inventory and stock management
Using fresh and seasonal products
Packaging and storage of products
Thorough kitchen cleaning with appropriate cleaning products
Requirements:
The chef should have a required background: trained in a culinary school, culinary institution, or Michelin-starred restaurant. They should be flexible, open-minded, creative, and able to understand the culinary needs and tastes of the family. Proficiency in French is mandatory, and knowledge of English is a plus.

Have a clean criminal record in both the country where the position will be offered and the candidate’s country of origin; English proficiency is essential.
Hold all certificates and diplomas verified by schools and training centers.
Submit a presentation book of their dishes.
Provide at least three references from previous employers.
Provide a complete professional dossier including: CV, cover letter, copy of passport or ID, driver’s license.

Conditions:
Salary: negotiable based on profile
Accommodation provided in the Castle, must have own vehicle.
