Job Description
RHEA Recruitment, an international hospitality and catering recruitment agency, is seeking for one of its clients (M/F)
PRIVATE CHEF for a VIP family from July 26th to August 2nd, 2024
A beautiful chalet of approximately 280 m² located near Lake Annecy
Responsibilities:
The chef will work for a VIP family of 2/3 adults daily, with a maximum of 6 people.
This family is accustomed to excellence but prefers simplicity (relaxed, vacation style).
- Prepare classic French, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisine and serve at the table.
On-site team:
- 1 Private Chef
- 1 Housekeeper
The chef will be responsible for the entire process:
- Cooking for 1 to 6 people
- Preparing breakfast, occasionally lunch, and dinner for the family
- Doing the grocery shopping in the morning
- Creating weekly menus for approval by Madame
- Selecting products as requested by Madame
- Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP)
- Managing stock and inventory
- Using fresh, seasonal products
- Properly conditioning and storing products
- Thoroughly cleaning the kitchen with appropriate cleaning products
Requirements:
- The chef must have formal training from a culinary school, institution, or starred restaurant.
- The chef should be flexible, open-minded, creative, and able to understand the family’s culinary preferences.
- The chef must speak French.
To apply, the private chef must:
- Have a clean criminal record in the country where the position will be offered and in the candidate’s home country.
- Hold all certificates and diplomas, verified by schools and training centers.
- Provide a presentation book of their dishes.
- Provide at least three references from previous employers.
- Submit a complete professional file including a CV, cover letter, copy of passport or ID, and driver’s license.
CONFIDENTIALITY REQUIRED
Conditions:
- Salary: invoiced as a self-employed status preferred
- Accommodation provided, must have a driver’s license, car available
- Position dates: July 26th to August 2nd, 2024
