Job Description

RHEA Recrutement, a specialist recruitment agency for tailored placements in hospitality, is looking for the future HEAD CHEF (M/F) of a beautiful contemporary and gourmet in Paris, for a residential fixed-term contract from late August to mid-January.

THE VENUE:
An elegant, welcoming restaurant with a distinctly Parisian spirit, blending tradition and creativity. The dining room opens onto a visible kitchen that places the chef and team at the heart of the guest experience, while a large production kitchen in the back ensures comfort and efficiency.

This is a space that values authenticity and precision: no terrace, but a carefully designed dining room for around 50 covers, with attentive service and a loyal, discerning clientele.

ANNUAL CLOSURE:

  • Closed for summer break from July 28 to August 26 inclusive.

  • Reopening on Tuesday, August 27 to launch the new season.

MENU STYLE:

  • Lunch service Tuesday to Friday with a short, thoughtful set menu (2 starters, 2 mains).

  • Refined dinner service with a creative, well-executed à la carte menu focused on the best seasonal ingredients.

  • A modern approach to cooking that respects the integrity and flavour of each product.

EXISTING TEAM:

  • 2 sous-chefs.

  • 1 chef de partie.

  • 2 commis.

  • 1 dishwasher.

  • A friendly, professional atmosphere with a stable and motivated staff.

ORGANISATION:

  • Closed Sunday and Monday.

  • 3 split shifts per week, thoughtfully scheduled for a real work/life balance.

  • Service designed for consistency and high quality.

DESIRED PROFILE:

  • An autonomous, inspired chef with a love of exceptional products and clean, precise plating.

  • Natural leadership to guide and motivate a tight-knit team.

  • A desire to join a house that encourages creativity and places customer loyalty at the heart of its vision.

PERFORMANCE:

  • Average ticket at lunch: ~€37-38.

  • Average ticket at dinner: ~€75.

CONDITIONS:

  • Residential fixed-term contract from late August to mid-January.

  • Ideal for a chef seeking a rewarding, high-visibility project over several months.

  • Forfait cadre salary ~€3500 net/month bonuses on food cost performance.
