Job Description

RHEA Recruitment, a high-end hospitality and catering recruitment agency, is conducting an international search for:

BAKER (M/F) in San Francisco

The concept is primarily based on Comfort Food with three main pillars: Bakery, Cuisine, and Food Market (currently present in 20 markets throughout the San Francisco Bay Area).

The idea is to introduce novelty without completely revolutionizing things!

Simplicity and efficiency are the guiding principles!

You will be responsible for overseeing the entire Bakery section from Menlo Park to Palo Alto.

You will contribute to the group’s development. Currently, there is a production lab for the bakery, a restaurant in Menlo Park, another restaurant opening in Palo Alto, and the launch of another communal living space within a food market concept (similar to Felicita in Paris).

Responsibilities:

Participate in the preparation and production of bakery items such as bread, pastries, and cakes.
Measure and weigh ingredients according to recipes.
Mix and knead dough for various bakery products.
Use bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and sheeters.
Monitor the baking process to ensure products are cooked to perfection.
Decorate and finish pastries with icing, glazes, or other toppings.
Package and label finished products for display or sale.
Clean and maintain the work area and equipment.
Requirements:

Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment is required.
Knowledge of pastry techniques and recipes is a plus.
Ability to follow instructions and recipes accurately.
Great attention to detail to ensure consistent quality of bakery products.
Physical endurance to stand for long periods and lift heavy ingredients or equipment.
Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
Conditions:

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year.
Ideal candidates would already have their visa and be present in the US; if not, Visa/flight/health coverage will be covered by the company.
Long-term contract desired, so consider E2 visa.
Position available as soon as possible, interview with the Owner and French Executive Chef via Video Conference through ZOOM.
