Job Description

  • Manage a team of 46 Chefs and a Stewarding team
  • Supervise 7 restaurants, including an all-day dining restaurant (covering breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service), pool bar, Italian restaurant, Asian fusion restaurant, Teppanyaki, French gastronomy, and spa bar (healthy food)
  • Control costs, Capex, and OS&E with financial support
  • Provide training in HACCP hygiene, culinary organization, food knowledge, and maintain relationships with suppliers ensuring the best worldwide products
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene, health and safety standards, and maintain smooth communication with other organizational departments, fostering a strong relationship with clients based on their preferences
  • Create menus, tailor-made menus, and various special catering requests for the establishment’s clients, chefs, and restaurant team in different outlets
  • Attend and present the culinary team at daily ComEx and HoD meetings to enhance the guest experience by reviewing expected guest arrivals, special events, and daily requests
  • Conduct daily meetings with the responsible HoD to ensure organizational consistency and a high level of quality in culinary operations
  • Recruit the right talent with HR support
  • Lead by example, encouraging teamwork (especially crucial in an island environment)


  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service
  • Fluent in French and English
  • Experience in starred and/or 5* Luxury establishments
  • Currently an Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine, willing to take on their first Executive Chef position


  • Contract Duration: 2 years
  • Base Salary: $7,000.00 USD
  • Bonus: At the owner’s discretion based on performance
  • Annual Leave: 30 days with an economy class flight to passport destination
  • RDO: 1 day off per week
  • Public Holidays: 11 days per year
  • Rest and Recreation Leave (R&R): 2x 7 days per year
  • Service Fee: Average of $1,300.00 USD per month, varies
  • Steward Sales: $300.00 USD per month
  • F&B Rights: 3 meals per day at the Ambassador’s cafeteria – FOC, 2 meals per day in F&B outlets, including room service – FOC
  • Spa Rights: 3 treatments per month
  • Relocation: $2,000.00 USD
  • Accommodation: Fully furnished individual housing with bi-weekly cleaning service, free internet and television, and free weekly laundry service
  • Health Insurance: International health insurance with a coverage of $2.5 million USD per year

Contract Start Date: ASAP to work alongside the current DOC during the holidays.
