General Manager – 3* Michelin Restaurant (M/F) – USA (confidential location)

Job Description:
A world-renowned hospitality group, known for its Michelin-starred restaurants (up to 3 stars), is looking for a passionate, charismatic, and committed General Manager to lead the team at its flagship restaurant in the United States.

The establishment is deeply committed to sustainability, culinary artistry, community engagement, and exceptional hospitality. As General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, maintaining the highest service standards, managing the team, and ensuring financial performance. You will embody the company’s vision while creating memorable experiences for guests.


Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Service:

  • Uphold exceptional service in line with Michelin standards and train staff in French service techniques.

  • Implement SOPs and set clear expectations to standardize practices and support managerial staff.

  • Conduct regular quality control checks on food and beverage to ensure continuous improvement.

  • Manage scheduling, supervise shifts, ensure proper closing procedures, and oversee daily operations.

  • Maintain a strong presence on the floor, support FOH staff, and assist with wine service as needed.

  • Organize and manage events and private functions.

  • Support employee development through SMART goals, regular feedback, and performance reviews.

  • Analyze sales and profitability, and implement strategic plans to meet revenue targets.

  • Participate in recruitment, job description creation, evaluations, and HR coordination.

Beverage Management:

  • Assist with managing the wine and beverage programs, creating menus, and training staff.

  • Promote sustainable sourcing and practices.

  • Oversee bar and alcohol orders in coordination with FOH and BOH teams.

Meetings & Communication:

  • Lead daily briefings and weekly management meetings.

  • Ensure clear, transparent communication across the team.

  • Represent the restaurant with professionalism and integrity.

  • Foster a respectful, collaborative, and empathetic work environment.

  • Handle guest concerns calmly and effectively.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven management experience in fine dining or luxury restaurants.

  • Strong knowledge of Michelin star standards.

  • Hands-on leadership style with high ethical standards.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong time management, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficient with restaurant management software, POS systems, reservations tools, and basic accounting.

  • Skilled in P&L analysis and team development.


Conditions:

  • Base Salary: $130,000 – $150,000 (DOE), plus performance-based bonus.

  • Preferred nationality: American, but open to H-2B visa sponsorship.

  • Housing assistance provided.

  • Wellness, training, and uniform allowances.

  • Start date: ASAP (approx. 2-month lead time for visa processing).
