Operations Manager for Takeout Restaurant + Delivery and Markets (M/F)

in San Francisco, CA (USA)

The concept’s DNA is primarily based on Comfort Food with three main axes: Bakery, Cuisine, and the Food Market (present at 20 markets throughout the San Francisco Bay Area). The launch is planned at the end of February for both the restaurant (takeout and delivery concept) and the corporate kitchen in another city near the first address.


This is a significant operational and sales role, and you will be responsible for the smooth running of operations for retail outlets, farmers’ markets, deliveries, and catering services.

Your main role will involve:

  • Personnel management, planning, market and retail logistics, as well as the performance and growth of these establishments.

Responsibilities include maintaining customer satisfaction, ensuring the smooth operation of retail and farmers’ markets, monitoring and improving market performance, and training and assessing market staff.


  • Manage operations and logistics for farmers’ markets, retail locations, and deliveries/catering business, including recruiting, scheduling, training, and managing sellers and drivers.
  • Ensure an excellent customer experience through training of staff and direct customer communications over email, phone, and social media.
  • Monitor and improve the performance of farmers’ markets and expansion into new markets, including determining product selection and improving product display.
  • Build processes and systems to support smooth operations and growth, including the maintenance of market materials and equipment, daily checklists, assessments, and training documents.


  • 2+ years of management and leadership experience, ideally in consumer-facing products and the fast-casual food space.
  • Excellent communication skills, resilience, and an organized, strategic, critical thinker mindset.


Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on experience. Package: Ideally, be American or have dual nationality (French-American) or have a valid visa and already be in the US if not the case. Visa/flight/health expenses covered by the company. Long-term contract desired, so consider an E2 Visa. Position available as soon as possible, telephone interview with the Owner, then a meeting with her and her right-hand man, the French culinary director.
