Job Description

RHEA Recruitment, a specialist recruitment agency in the hospitality and catering sector, is looking for a Chef de Cuisine (M/F) for one of its clients, a 4-star hotel ideally located near Strasbourg.

This establishment consists of 18 rooms and a Michelin-starred restaurant, with a main dining room and two rooms upstairs.

Restaurant Closed: Tuesday & Wednesday (this summer, the restaurant will be closed on Monday evenings) DNA: Family-oriented, connected with nature, exceptional working environment at the foot of grand cru vineyards. Average covers/service: 25-30 covers on average during the week, 55-60 covers on Saturday evenings and Sunday lunchtimes. Average check: 110 euros

Missions and Responsibilities: Reporting to the owners of the establishment, you will be responsible for the food section for the various points of sale within the establishment (restaurant, room service, seminar rooms). The restaurant offers a carte blanche to the new chef with the ambition of obtaining a green star.

Your Team:

  • Kitchen: One chef, one sous-chef (to be recruited), 3 chefs de partie, 2-3 apprentices.
  • Pastry: One head pastry chef, one commis, one apprentice.

Profile and Expectations:

  • Organization and Coordination: You organize and coordinate the work of your team, establish schedules, place orders, manage stocks, and ensure the smooth running of the service.
  • Creation and Elaboration: Elaboration of menus and dishes.
  • Personal Qualities: Your personality, know-how, and interpersonal skills contribute to customer satisfaction.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate your teams, teamwork skills, and training abilities.
  • Professionalism and Creativity: High degree of professionalism and creativity.
  • Experience: Experience in the hospitality sector is required.


  • Type of contract: Permanent (CDI)
  • Compensation: Two options: either as an associate chef (fixed salary + 30% of the shares) or a monthly salary of 3800 – 4000 euros net/month.
  • Accommodation: Provided initially.
  • Availability: Position to be filled by August 7th at the latest.
