HEAD CHEF, with potential for promotion to Executive Chef (M/F) in Paris,

Italian Trendy Restaurant open 6 days a week for lunch and dinner, and Sunday lunch only Intimate underground cocktail bar
Average daily traffic: 150 covers (100 in the evening) Average bill per person: 75€ (excluding tax)
Kitchen team: 10 staff members
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Head Chef specializing in Italian-inspired cuisine is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, from food preparation to presentation. This role requires a passion for Italian cuisine and the ability to create unique dishes inspired by Italian flavors while allowing room for personal creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Management:
– Supervise food preparation, drawing inspiration from Italian cuisine and allowing for creativity.
– Ensure consistent quality of dishes by maintaining culinary standards.
– Control ingredient costs while maintaining product quality.
– Manage inventory and supply orders according to restaurant needs.
- Team Management:
– Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
– Schedule shifts and assign tasks based on skills and workload.
– Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Quality Control:
– Conduct regular checks on the quality of dishes served.
– Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
– Address quality or service-related issues in cooperation with service staff.
- Culinary Creativity:
– Develop new dishes and create seasonal menus (4 menus per year) inspired by Italian cuisine while allowing for personal creativity.
– Stay updated on culinary trends and innovations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a head chef or sous chef.
- In-depth knowledge of Italian cuisine, as well as the ability to create unique dishes inspired by it.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high quality standards.
- Demonstrated management and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Culinary degree or equivalent training is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Schedule: mixed shifts (split and continuous)
- Salary: 3500 net/month
- Status: managerial (218 days)
- Full-time permanent contract
- 2 consecutive days off on Sundays and Mondays
- Start date: mid-June or ASAP if available immediately
